In response to the Memo Air Canada sent out on September 23, 2011 regarding the safety of Air Canada Staff in downtown Winnipeg, the Canadian Media Guild has officially sent a letter to Air Canada voicing our displeasure with their memo and requesting an apology.

aptn Branch Announces Cheryl McKenzie as the New Secretary-Treasurer:

On September 20th, 2011 a notice went out to the aptn | CMG membership of the opportunity to join the aptn Branch Executive as Secretary / Treasurer. Any members interested in volunteering for the position as aptn Branch Secretary-Treasurer were encouraged to contact the Branch Executive at cmgaptn@gmail.com . This nomination process closed on September 30th, 2011.

On Behalf of the aptn Branch of the Canadian Media Guild, I would like to welcome Cheryl McKenzie to the Branch Executive. With the full approval of the aptn Branch Executive, Cheryl McKenzie has agreed to take on the responsibilities as Secretary / Treasurer. Cheryl's strong work ethic and contagious laughter will be a welcome addition to the Branch Executive. Join me in congratulating Cheryl in becoming the aptn Branch Secretary / Treasurer.
